Here’s a new list of upcoming rum releases for the US market compiled from TTB label certifications approved in July 2024. These are only label approvals recorded at the US TTB, so none of these are likely to be available yet and it’s anyone’s guess when they might appear in stores.
This doesn’t include every rum label approval, I’ve tried to triage the approvals to the brands that people would recognize, while also including other labels that might be interesting but excluding spiced/flavored products and most cachacas.
The TTB approved 99 rum labels in total this month, 54 are covered here.
This month’s highlights include: Bristol Spirits’ catalog hits the US market, single variety sugarcane rums from Sicily, new Flag Series releases from LM&V, many single casks from Ten to One, a new Hampden Estate family blend, new releases from a Tahitian distillery, and the name of Arroyo is invoked by another distillery.
You may notice that I’m several months behind publishing these reports. After the August report I’ll finish the September report and then I’ll be caught up until…. next week when the October report will be due!
You can find the July 2024 edition of this report here.
Alambique Serrano
Blend 6: Otoño, Approved 15 July 2024.
Bristol Classic Rum
Spaghetti Western Imports is now bringing this classic rum label to the US. (you may remember Spaghetti Western as the importer for Justin Boseley’s Dead Reckoning label). Bristol Spirits was founded in 1993 and is a UK independent bottler known for their 1990s Caroni releases. One unique aspect of Bristol releases is their ABV – other IBs tend to bottle at cask strength, yet you won’t find many Bristol releases above about 50%, most are around 46-47%. Founder John Barrett has a firm belief that this is where the rums are most approachable and at their best.

English Harbour
Looks like the English Harbour brand is getting a new label and possibly bottle.
Silver, Approved 19 July 2024.
Flag Series
Before anyone says “Why are you calling this Flag Series? It’s from La Mason & Velier!“, Flag Series is the registered brand for these. It’s the same reason Chairman’s Reserve bottles aren’t listed under St Lucia Distillers or Spiribam.
Cambodia 2016, Approved 12 July 2024.
Fiji 2012, Approved 11 July 2024.
Jamaica 2015, Approved 12 July 2024.

The Wisdom of Age Jamaican Hampden Estate Blend, Approved 7 July 2024.
Ten to One
Ten to One has a series of single cask releases this month that brings them into more traditional independent bottler territory. I assume there might be more to come in the future if these sell well.
18 Year Single Cask Reserve Jamaica, Approved 12 July 2024.
18 Year Single Cask Reserve Barbados, Approved 12 July 2024.
18 Year Single Cask Reserve Trinidad, Approved 12 July 2024.

Other Releases of Interest
Artesano 1 YO, Approved 23 July 2024.
Produced by San Juan Artisan Distillers. As far as I’m aware, they’re still not distributed in the continental United States but I know they’re working on changing that. They’re producing some of the most interesting products in Puerto Rico right now.
This product has a strip label that contains the age and ABV (40%) that I didn’t include here, but you can click the link above and see the full filing.
Artesano 3 YO, Approved 22 July 2024.
Another release from San Juan Artisan Distillers.
This product has a strip label that contains the age and ABV (43%) that I didn’t include here, but you can click the link above and see the full filing.
Mater Single Variety Sugarcane “Purple Cane”, Approved 25 July 2024.
Another distillery Spaghetti Western Imports is bringing to the US, this time a single estate sugarcane distillery in Sicily. Each of this month’s releases are single variety cane rums.
Mater Single Variety Sugarcane “Yellow Cane”, Approved 29 July 2024.
Tiki Lovers Dark, Approved 18 July 2024.
Cihuatán Xaman XO Finished in Ceiba Wood, Approved 15 July 2024.
Cihuatán XO 16 YO, Approved 15 July 2024.
Cihuatán Suerte, Approved 19 July 2024.
Colón White, Approved 24 July 2024.
Colón 81, Approved 24 July 2024.
Fat Dram 18 YO Foursquare Single Cask, Approved 22 July 2024.
This caught my eye because the importer filed it with the TTB as a Foursquare release instead of their own.
Robo Finition Banyuls, Approved 2 July 2024.
Cotton & Reed 5 YO Single Barrel 002, Approved 31 July 2024.
New Realm USA/Jamaican Blend, Approved 11 July 2024.
This release from Atlanta brewery-turned-distillery New Realm initially got a pass because I assumed it was just a sourced rum from Jamaica or (or one blended with rum from their own production). But the mention of Rafael Arroyo on the side got my attention.
Tahiti Rum Company Tahiti Vahine, Approved 30 July 2024.
This is clearly an error – they only included the back label in their filing, and the TTB told them that this is fine, but they can’t put any other labels on the bottle other than this rear label. I’d expect a second filing from them with the front label. GK Skaggs is a beverage alcohol importer in California. The portfolio on their website doesn’t currently say anything about this rum other than a mention in a presentation that they’re working with Tahiti Rum Co.
Tahiti Rum Company Noa Noa Vieux Rhum Single Cask, Approved 31 July 2024.
Their second filing has the front label. I assume 1848 is referring to the year that Paul Gaugin was born.
Belama Special Reserve, Approved 8 July 2024.
Caribe 18 YO Extra Añejo Red Wine Cask Finished, Approved 19 July 2024.
Vida Caña Andean Blend, Approved 31 July 2024.
Vida Caña Panama, Approved 31 July 2024.
Vida Caña Dominican Republic, Approved 31 July 2024.
Atomica Spirits Light Rum, Approved 10 July 2024.
Hop Atomica brewery ventures into spirits.
Produced by a distillery in Jacksonville, Florida, this rum made the report because it claims to be made in the style of clairin by Haitian immigrants.
