Upcoming US Rum Releases of Interest — June 2025

Here’s a new list of upcoming rum releases for the US market compiled from TTB label certifications approved in May 2025. These are only label approvals recorded at the US TTB, so none of these are likely to be available yet and it’s anyone’s guess when they might appear in stores.

This doesn’t include every rum label approval, I’ve tried to triage the approvals to the brands that people would recognize, while also including other labels that might be interesting but excluding spiced/flavored products and most cachacas.

The TTB approved 90 rum labels in total this month, 25 are covered here.

This month’s highlights include several new releases from Raising Glasses, Alambique Serrano, a (possible) cane juice rum from Georgia, and more!

The May 2025 edition of this report is here.

Commentary and Interesting Things

  • Add another label to the evidence that class and type code don’t matter: Mutiny Vodka was approved as a Virgin Islands white rum. Not just once, but twice.
  • I didn’t include quite a few labels that appeared to just be refreshes of existing labels. I’m very, very late producing this report (and some others) so I’m not taking the time to carefully review label refreshes like I usually do. Sorry..
  • Twenty-One Wine and Spirits is hard at work again registering other people’s products. This month we have Matusalem 15 Años and Coruba.

It always saddens me to see more releases like this – a meaningless number highlighted on the label to make people think that this is a 23 year old rum. And of course, it’s a “Solera Blend”.

Planteray

Extreme Series 2005 Haiti, Approved 19 May 2025.

Extreme Series CAHS Barbados, Approved 19 May 2025.

Extreme Series 1998 Jamaica MMW, Approved 19 May 2025.

Return of the Yowie 18 YO Australia, Approved 16 May 2025.

Pelée’s Fury III Grand Arôme Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish Le Galion Martinique, Approved 30 May 2025.

I think this bottle might set the record for the longest release name I’ve used in the report.. 🙂

Other Releases of Interest

Naga Shani, Approved 19 May 2025.

Athentic Spirits Rum Agricole, Approved 8 May 2025.

The label is a head scratcher, but it looks like it might be a good product. The English/French mashup name is a bit odd, as is the fact that they refer to the base material as “red cane sugar”, which implies that it’s, well, sugar and not cane juice. But a description of the product mentions the limited time they have to go from harvest to fermentation, so it sounds like this is most likely a cane juice rum and not made from sugar. I’ll have to keep an eye out for this to try!

Gulf of America, Approved 12 May 2025.

Nothing says “Let’s throw some stuff in a bottle and see if we can get some gullible people to buy it for the label” like this bottle does. No information at all about the contents. Rum enters the sad world of political stunting…

Beaufort Spirits Daily Tot, Approved 13 May 2025.

With all the recent discussions over navy rum in the rum community, this product boldly sets out on a new path with a 40% ABV.
