Here’s a new list of upcoming rum releases for the US market compiled from TTB label certifications approved in August 2025. These are only label approvals recorded at the US TTB, so none of these are likely to be available yet and it’s anyone’s guess when they might appear in stores.
This doesn’t include every rum label approval, I’ve tried to triage the approvals to the brands that people would recognize, while also including other labels that might be interesting but excluding spiced/flavored products and most cachacas.
The TTB approved 62 rum labels in total this month, 23 are covered here.
This month’s highlights include a new Last Ward release, a new NRJ Cambridge bottling from Velier, more Magnum releases, a 15 YO Shakara, a Foursquare PCS, a new US IB, and more!
You can find the August 2025 edition of this report here.
Commentary and Interesting Things
- As usual, Twenty-One Wine and Spirits is registering labels for brands that aren’t theirs. Does anyone know what in the world is going on here? This month we have J. Bally, Rhum Rhum, Damoiseau, a ton of Velier releases ( Uitvlugt 1997 ULR, Enmore 1995, and Foursquare Destino, Caroni 15 YO, 17 YO, 18 YO, Special Edition 3rd Release, Long Pond TECA) Savanna HERR 10 YO, El Dorado 2001 Port Mourant & Diamond, and Foursquare Indelible They have one approval that’s especially fun – a 2015 Velier Caroni release from Martinique that has a front label of Rhum Saint-James 2015 and a back label that says Caroni from Martinique. And it’s under the TTB classification of “Martinican Rum Gold FB”, showing again just how useless those classifications are.
- Navèt got another approval for their Jus de Canne release. They also received one last month.
- Medellín got an approval their 5 YO that didn’t appear very different from the previous one from the December report.

Spinnaker
This appears to be a new American independent bottler based in Texas. Not to judge a rum by it’s ABV, but without ever having tried these I have to say I was a little sad to see they’re all at 40% ABV.
Jamaica WPM 2015, Approved 20 August 2025.

Other Releases of Interest

I’m super excited about this release! It got a second approval on 27 August.

Granalta Jerez Cask Añejo, Approved 12 August 2025.

St. Augustine Distillery Stone’s Throw Port Cask Matured, Approved 29 August 2025.

Artesano Robusto 2025, Approved 21 August 2025.

Prohibido Reserva, Approved 13 August 2025.
I admit to being more than a little skeptical about this one. Bottled at 40%, a story talking about rum aged in “sweet wine” casks, and a meaningless “Solera 12 Blended” tag at the top of the front label.
