Here’s a new list of upcoming rum releases for the US market compiled from TTB label certifications approved in November 2024. These are only label approvals recorded at the US TTB, so none of these are likely to be available yet and it’s anyone’s guess when they might appear in stores.
This doesn’t include every rum label approval, I’ve tried to triage the approvals to the brands that people would recognize, while also including other labels that might be interesting but excluding spiced/flavored products and most cachacas.
The TTB approved 95 rum labels in total this month, 41 are covered here.
This month’s highlights include: The American debut of Taiwan’s Renaissance Distillery, a new LMV Flag series release, a new Pagos bottling from Hampden, the new Mount Gay Master Blender Selection, San Juan Artesan Spirits’ Ron Capicu rums, sugar cane rums from Paraguay, and a Canadian rum from Romero Distilling. There’s also a Chinese-made Indian-style rum, in what might be the first time I’ve seen a Chinese-made rum hit the US market.

Renaissance
I can’t tell you how excited I was to see these pop up in the TTB database. Renaissance makes some great rums, but they really don’t like to export outside of Taiwan. Aside from a few importers in Singapore and the UK, it’s not easy to get their releases outside of Taiwan (their usual policy for buying releases is that they only ship within Taiwan and payment has to be transferred from a local bank). Megakudos to Raising Glasses for bringing them to the US!

You may remember this brand from last month’s report, when they got label approval for a “rum with traditional Indian flavor profiles” that was made in Mexico. This month they’ve re-filed and gotten a new label approval, but with the rum made in China, distillery not mentioned. This will be interesting.
