Here’s a new list of upcoming rum releases for the US market compiled from TTB label certifications approved in July 2025. These are only label approvals recorded at the US TTB, so none of these are likely to be available yet and it’s anyone’s guess when they might appear in stores.

This doesn’t include every rum label approval, I’ve tried to triage the approvals to the brands that people would recognize, while also including other labels that might be interesting but excluding spiced/flavored products and most cachacas.

The TTB approved 95 rum labels in total this month, 34 are covered here.

This month’s highlights include Banter, the much-anticipated new brand from American Cane, a lot of new releases from LM&V including new Flag Series releases, Hampdens, and Clairins, a new US IB with some interesting releases, and a Japanese rum that promises funk.

Commentary and Interesting Things

I’m still behind on older rum reports. July is now out, but April, May, and June are still in progress. I’ll post those as they’re complete but I won’t post anything on social media about them. Just check back here and you’ll see them posted on the main page when they’re ready.

DEGA Imports has surrendered the Aguerrido Erika label approval from last month’s report.
More evidence that the TTB COLA categories really don’t matter anymore – here’s a guava-flavored rum from DDL that was approved in a non-flavored category. And see the Flag Series rum from Ghana below that was approved as a rum from Guyana.
Brugal has some new label approvals that don’t appear to show any substantive changes from the existing ones. Here’s Añejo, 1888, another 1888, Maestro Reserva, and Extra Viejo.
Pusser’s also has new approvals that don’t appear to show anything new (perhaps an importer change). Here’s Original Admiralty Rum, 15 YO, and Gunpowder Proof.
Doorly’s has similar approvals. Here’s 3 YO, 5 YO 1.75 L labels and one for 750ml Old Brigand Black Label.

Here’s the much-awaited first release from American Cane, headed by Maggie Campbell. Banter is a brand of sourced rum that they’re releasing to get into the market while they’re working on their own production.

This label clearly states “Aged 25 Years” as opposed to their other labels that just present a number and let you draw your own conclusions.

Hampden Estate

HGML 2017 Single Cask 143, Approved 22 July 2025.

There are two approvals for this label that appear to be the same. The second is here. I’m guessing that the second was supposed to be a second single cask label, but they accidentally uploaded the same label images for both. So I think we can assume that we’re getting two single casks of HGML 2017.

This looks potentially promising- a Japanese rum made from blackstrap molasses created from local sugarcane. And it promises “vibrance & tropical funk”. It’s from Seifuku Distillery in Okinawa.

Charapa Blanco, Approved 7 July 2025.

This and the Oro release below look to be standard rum releases at the minimum 40% ABV, but I’m including these because there’s been a long run of exceptional rum releases from Mexico over the last few years, so let’s see how these are.
