Here’s a new list of upcoming rum releases for the US market compiled from TTB label certifications approved in December 2024. These are only label approvals recorded at the US TTB, so none of these are likely to be available yet and it’s anyone’s guess when they might appear in stores.
This doesn’t include every rum label approval, I’ve tried to triage the approvals to the brands that people would recognize, while also including other labels that might be interesting but excluding spiced/flavored products and most cachacas.
The TTB approved 95 rum labels in total this month (same as November!), 24 are covered here.

This month’s highlights include: More from Alambique Serrano, a new Hampden Estate release, the latest High Ester blend from El Dorado, a 1934-vintage Jamaican rum, single cask releases from Rolling Fork and Raising Glasses, and the mystery of a few strange/shady label approvals (see the Wray & Nephew section as well as the Commentary section at the bottom for more information).
You can find the December 2024 edition of this report here.

Wray & Nephew
IMPORTANT: See the Commentary section at the bottom of this report. Neither of these label approvals are from a legitimate importer.
Parish Collection Kingston, Approved 30 December 2024.
CITS also got approval for a more standard overproof label as well.

Captain Morgan, Approved 30 December 2024.
This is the Wray and Nephew version of Captain Morgan distributed in Jamaica, not the Diageo one we get in the US. I’m sure Diageo will have something to say about this.

The first rum from New Zealand I’ve seen approved.

Cabo Grōg Santo Antao, Approved 20 December 2024.
This appears to be a grogue from Cape Verde that’s bottled in the US.

A.A. Baker Battle Axe 1934 Riserva, Approved 24 December 2024.
This appears to be a release of 1934-vintage Jamaican rum from A.A. Baker in Trieste. It’s imported by Wine Cellars Ltd in New York.

Commentary and Interesting Things
As I sorted through December’s releases, I started running across strange approvals. An approval for Foursquare Isonomy, an ECS release that’s been on the market for a while now. A slew of approvals for Jamaican rums that claim to be imported to the US by an IT consulting firm. And some of those Jamaican releases seemed to be Jamaica-only bottlings. The strangeness seemed to be from two different importers – Twenty-One Wine & Spirits and CITS Limited.
Twenty-One Wine & Spirits / Aftermath Wine & Spirits filed for and received label approvals for a release that’s already available from them in the US (Black Tot Last Consignment) as well as releases that they don’t import and have already been on the market for some time like Foursquare Isonomy and Chairman’s Reserve. There’s also J Bailly Brut de Fut as well. They also received approval for Engenhos do Norte Rum Agricola Beneficiado 980 from Madeira, I’m unaware if this is already available in the US or not, but given the other erroneous filings from Twenty-One this month I’m not going to include it in the main releases.
CITS Limited, an IT consulting firm, has gotten label approval for several Jamaican labels, including Appleton 8, Appleton Signature, Worthy Park 109, Single Estate Reserve, Select, Overproof, Rum Bar Overproof, Kingston 62, DG Overproof and the two releases listed in the Wray & Nephew section. I’m not sure what the story is with these. The Wray & Nephew labels don’t seem to be intended for the US market. I reached out to some of the brands represented here to see if this was legitimate or not and was told that they had no idea who CITS was and were very surprised to hear about the label approvals.
In other release news, Oxbow has new labels approved for use by BOTLD/One Tier, a Pennsylvania distributor that will handle their product there. I think this might allow for distribution outside the PA state store system, but I’m not 100% sure how One Tier operates aside from bottling inside PA.
Thanks for this posting Robbie!
